Inflation Reduction Act
 
Hailed as the single biggest climate investment in U.S. history, the Inflation Reduction Act will provide nearly $370 billion across the next decade for clean energy and climate projects, largely in the form of tax credits. The law, along with other recent policies from Congress, is expected to slash U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by about 40% from 2005 levels by 2030.

But enactment of the IRA is just the first step, with federal agencies, states and utilities now tasked with implementing the law's new tax provisions.
