JanusINTECH Institutional Asset Management Names New Consultant Relations Vice President

Janus Capital Group Inc. (NYSE: JNS) has appointed James F. Woods, Jr. as Vice President and Director of Consultant Relations with JanusINTECH Institutional Asset Management. Woods, who is based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, will report to Carolyn Patton, CFA, Vice President, Managing Director and Global Head of Consultant Relations with JanusINTECH Institutional Asset Management.

In his new role, Woods will provide manager research professionals and field consultants with guidance on the JanusINTECH Institutional products. He will also serve as an internal resource for institutional sales, portfolio management and client service professionals, facilitating their interactions with the institutional consultant community.

Woods has over 26 years of industry experience, including positions with SEI Corporation, Crown Cork & Seal, Novartis and Arthur Andersen & Co. Most recently, Woods was managing director of consultant relations with BNY Asset Management. He also spent six years with Pilgrim Baxter & Associates, where he served as Senior Vice President of Institutional Marketing and Client Services. Woods received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
