Janus Institutional Asset Management Names Director of Consultant Relations

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 2005--Janus Capital Group Inc. (NYSE: JNS) has appointed Brad Gillman as Vice President and Director of Consultant Relations of Janus Institutional Asset Management. Gillman, who is based in San Francisco, California, will report to Carolyn Patton, CFA, Vice President and Global Director of Consultant Relations of Janus Institutional Asset Management.

In his new role, Gillman will provide manager research professionals and field consultants with guidance on the Janus Institutional products. He will also serve as an internal resource for institutional sales, portfolio management and client service professionals, facilitating the interactions with consulting firms.

Gillman is an 11-year veteran in the industry. Prior to joining Janus he was Director of Institutional Client Services at Artisan Partners in San Francisco, where he was responsible for institutional sales and client service with both consultants and plan sponsors. Gillman also spent six years at AllianceBernstein where he was Vice President, working on Institutional Sales and Consultant Relations teams. He started his career as an analyst at RogersCasey in Darien, Connecticut. Gillman is a graduate of Princeton University.
