Janus Capital Group Unveils New Advertising Campaign; Ads Reflect Commitment to `Getting Investors Where They Want to Go'

Company Release - 4/2/2004 11:01 AM ET

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 2004--In an advertising campaign beginning April 4, Janus Capital Group Inc. (NYSE: JNS) emphasizes its commitment to delivering strong long-term performance, offering more investment choices and earning investors' confidence "every step of the way."

The print and television ads, which show people walking up a flight of stairs, are designed to reinforce Janus' longtime mission of "getting investors where they want to go." To that end, the company last year introduced several value-oriented and risk-managed products to complement its traditional growth-focused offerings.

"We realize investors will judge Janus by what we do and how we perform -- not by what our ads say," said Janus Chief Marketing Officer Robin Beery. "Still, these ads are an important step in demonstrating our commitment to delivering long-term results for investors and earning their confidence in everything we do."

The print ad begins running Sunday in the "Mutual Fund Report" section of The New York Times. It will also appear in the investment sections of The Wall Street Journal and USA TODAY as well as editions of the Financial Times in the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia.

The television ad will air from April 8 through June 13 on national cable networks - including CNN, CNBC, ESPN and Fox News - and during prime-time broadcasts in Denver, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
