Janus Capital Group Declares Annual Dividend

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 2003--Janus Capital Group Inc. (NYSE:JNS) announced today that its Board of Directors has declared an annual dividend of $0.04 per share payable July 31, 2003, to stockholders of record on July 15, 2003.

The $0.04 per share dividend is the same amount that was paid in July 2002 by Janus Capital Group's predecessor company, Stilwell Financial Inc. Janus Capital Group was created by the January 1, 2003, merger of Janus Capital Corporation into its then-parent company, Stilwell Financial.
