Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

On May 28, 2019, First Community Bankshares, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that its Chief Operating Officer, E. Stephen Lilly, planned to retire on December 31, 2019.  The Company and Mr. Lilly have mutually agreed to postpone Mr. Lilly’s retirement date to January 31, 2020, to provide him the opportunity to participate in the culmination of several strategic initiatives.  The Company’s previously announced appointment of Jason R. Belcher, currently the Company’s Chief Administrative Officer, as Chief Operating Officer effective January 1, 2020, will proceed as planned.
