SNL Financial Is Selected As a Finalist for ACG Richmond Emerging Growth Company Award

ACG Richmond will present the inaugural award at a gala dinner on October 1.

Charlottesville, Va. (September 3, 2008) – The Richmond chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) has nominated Charlottesville-based SNL Financial for the 2008 ACG Richmond Emerging Growth Company Award.

ACG Richmond will present the award to a regionally-based company that has displayed consistent and profitable growth, with less than $100 million but more than $25 million in total revenue for the most recent fiscal year. The selection criteria includes quantitative factors such as revenue growth, profitability and market share gains plus subjective factors such as culture, community involvement and demonstrated leadership qualities.

In August, Inc. Magazine named SNL Financial to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the United States with 2007 revenues of $66.6M. SNL’s Chief Financial Officer Theresa Torian observed that “SNL’s annual revenue growth has exceeded 20% each year since 2003 and has averaged 26% during that time, while growth in net income has been even higher. Based on results through June, we expect 2008 revenues to grow 30% over 2007 and net income to grow by more than two-thirds over 2007.”
