It invests in adjustable-rate and hybrid adjustable-rate single-family residential mortgage pass-through securities guaranteed by a U.S. Government agency or issued by a U.S. Government-sponsored entity. The company would elect to be taxed as a REIT under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, and would not be subject to federal taxes on its REIT taxable income to the extent that the company distributes its income to stockholders and maintain its qualification as a REIT.
