United Western Bancorp, Inc. owns United Western Bank®, Colorado's largest federal savings bank with $2 billion in assets. United Western Bancorp is focused on developing its community-based banking network through its subsidiary, United Western Bank, to individuals and small and mid-size business customers by strategically positioning branches across Colorado's Front Range market and certain mountain communities. The area spans the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains - from Pueblo to Fort Collins, and from metropolitan Denver to the Roaring Fork Valley. United Western Bank plans to grow its network to an estimated ten to twelve community bank locations over the next three to five years.
United Western Bank has branch locations open in downtown Denver, the Cherry Creek area of Denver, south Denver, Boulder, Centennial, Longmont, Fort Collins and Loveland and a loan production office located in Aspen, servicing Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. United Western Bank's SBA division is a national preferred lender, originating more than $300 million since its inception in 1998.
The company's subsidiary, UW Trust Company, headquartered in Waco, Texas, provides administration, record-keeping, corporate escrow and paying agent services for a wide array of business needs including investment offerings (public and private), life settlements, claim settlements, mergers, acquisitions, purchases and sales.
More than 80% of Colorado's 4.7 million residents reside within United Western's target region, a 160-mile North-South corridor. Colorado's work force is one of the most highly educated in the nation, ranking fifth nationally based on residents with college degrees. It ranked eighth largest among the 50 states for personal income in 2005.
