| Annapolis Bancorp, Inc. is the holding company for BankAnnapolis (the Bank), a federally insured, community-oriented bank, and one of two independent commercial banks headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland. The Bank operates as a full-service commercial bank from its headquarters in Annapolis and its seven branches located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and one branch located on Kent Island in Queen Anne's County, Maryland.
The Bank's principal business consists of originating loans and attracting deposits. It originates commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, construction loans, one- to four-family real estate loans, home equity and consumer loans. The Bank also invests in United States Treasury and United States government agency securities and other securities, including mortgage-backed securities issued by or guaranteed by the federal government.
