Cortland Bancorp was incorporated under the laws of the State of Ohio in 1984. The Company was approved by the Federal Reserve as a financial holding company on March 13, 2000. The principal activity of the Company is to own, manage and supervise the Cortland Savings and Banking Company ("Cortland Banks" or the "Bank"). The Company presently owns all of the outstanding shares of the Bank.
Cortland Bancorp conducts no other business activities except for investments in securities as permitted under the Bank Holding Company Act. The business of the Company and the Bank is not seasonal to any significant extent and is not dependent on any single customer or group of customers.
Cortland Bancorp stock trades on the NASDAQ OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) under the symbol CLDB. The corporation makes available to shareholders a dividend reinvestment plan, which includes safekeeping services. There are no service charges under the plan. |
