In 1960, a group of Whidbey Island business people saw a need for a locally owned, independent bank that would serve the people of the community. That was the beginning of Whidbey Island Bank. It opened a short time later with one office in Coupeville and a determination to provide the best possible service to each and every customer. And that determination continues today. We now have eighteen branches, with nearly 300 employees, serving thousands of individuals, families and businesses in Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom Counties.
We provide a full range of personal and business banking services, and to this day, continue to give every customer the best service we possibly can. And we still make all our decisions locally -- right here in Western Washington.
Whidbey Island Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Washington Banking Company which is listed on the NASDAQ under WBCO.
