 | Mr. Sarnobat is involved in the origination, analysis and execution of mezzanine debt and private equity transactions. Prior to joining Prospect, Mr. Sarnobat was in investment banking where he advised private equity and corporate clients on transactions valued at over $25 billion in aggregate. Most recently he was part of the leveraged finance team at Citigroup where he advised on, structured and executed transactions for several leveraged buyouts, bankruptcy exits and debt refinancings. Before Citigroup, he with Merrill Lynch where he originated and executed M&A, debt and equity transactions for a variety of private equity sponsors seeking to exit their leveraged buyout investments.
Mr. Sarnobat began his career with a technology start-up company that provided advanced analytics to the consumer credit risk industry. His publications include a U.S. patent on data mining technology, a refereed paper in an engineering journal and several conference presentations.
Mr. Sarnobat earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering at the University of Mumbai. He was awarded his Masters in Chemical Engineering at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville based on his research on chaos theory at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He received his MBA with top honors at Columbia Business School and has completed the NASD Series 7 and 63 exams. |
