| Hanif “Wally” Dahya is the Chief Executive Officer of The Y Company LLC, a private investment firm that focuses on emerging-market companies in the information, communications, retail, financial, and entertainment industries. He has been a Director of New York Community Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary banks, New York Community Bank and New York Commercial Bank, since March 2, 2007.
In addition to chairing the Investment Committee, Mr. Dahya serves as a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Company and the Banks and as a member of the Credit Committee of the Commercial Bank.
