  • Washington Trust Announces Fourth Quarter Dividend

    WESTERLY, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 2003--The Board of Directors of Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc., (NASDAQ: National Market; symbol: WASH), today declared a quarterly dividend of 16 cents per share for the quarter ending December 31, 2003. The dividend is payable January 15, 2004 to shareholders of record on January 5, 2004.

    "This quarter's dividend reflects our commitment our shareholders," said John C. Warren, Chairman and CEO of The Washington Trust Company. "In this regard, we're pleased that, in 2003, Washington Trust twice increased the dividend and declared cash dividends totalling 62 cents per share."
