WESTERLY, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 2003--The Washington Trust Company announced today that its 16th branch, located at 236 Centerville Road in Warwick, Rhode Island, has officially opened to the public.

The Warwick branch marks a milestone in Washington Trust's 203-year history, and helps fulfill the Bank's strategy to grow its market area through geographic expansion. Branch amenities include flat-screen TVs in waiting areas, comfortable seating, computers with Internet access, an online banking kiosk, and three conference rooms. The branch also has two ATMs (one walk-up and one drive-up), and three drive-up banking lanes.

Grand opening festivities include an official ribbon cutting ceremony on the morning of May 8 and a Community Open House on Saturday, May 10th from 9 a.m. until noon. The branch will also host "Business After Hours" for the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce on the evening of Thursday, May 15th.
