I was also able to work on exciting and relevant projects that expanded my working business knowledge. But the greatest aspect of SNL is the people I worked alongside, their energy and enthusiasm is simply contagious."

SNL provides corporate-level support for employee-selected charitable causes and non-profit organizations through the SNL Cares Foundation. Around the world, SNLers find positive ways to contribute to the communities in which they live and work: delivering supplies to earthquake victims in Pakistan, organizing a bake-off in Charlottesville to support Operation BRAVO or donating footballs to a local primary school in London. Kicking Back
SNL recognizes the importance of maintaining a work/life balance. That’s why we provide our employees with opportunities to relax and get to know each other outside of the office. Whether at happy hours celebrating the end of earnings season or on the softball field, SNLers prove they can play as hard as they work.
Talking Back
Some companies formulate lofty values and then require employees to conform. Instead, SNL regularly surveys employees and asks them to describe the company culture as they see it and the values that bring them success on a daily basis. Check out the Fast Facts above to see what SNLers most recently had to say.

Employee Development
Fine-tune your skills. On the job or in the classroom.
At SNL, we believe that ongoing employee development is the key to ensuring that SNLers remain on the vanguard of the evolving financial information industry. That's why we invest in continual training for all employees -- new hires, managers and leaders -- to develop their skills, knowledge and abilities. SNL’s employee development consists of a mix of on-the-job training, formal and informal training series, mentoring and classroom-style learning.
Employee Development
Onboarding SNL offers an intensive onboarding program for all new hires to provide a basic understanding of our business, products and clients. New hires attend “Welcome to SNL” to hear presentations from executives and senior managers, plus a panel discussion of SNLers from around the world.
On the Job and Classroom Learning SNLers learn plenty on the job, including:
Build Your Knowledge workshops for specific accounting, systems or technology topics.
New Manager Orientation, a 4-week program to acclimate recently promoted managers to their new responsibilities.
SNL Leadership Institute, a 3-track program providing further development for SNLers who have proven their leadership abilities.
English language workshops for SNLers in our India and Pakistan offices.
PMI® training for our project managers.
Informal Learning Throughout the year, SNLers can attend “brown bag lunch” sessions to learn about new products and enhancements, in addition to safety, first aid and cross-cultural learning.
Internal Summits Internal summits give SNLers from various offices opportunities to get together, share best practices, learn about product enhancements and get to know each other a little better. At the beginning of each year, our Sales team meets in Charlottesville to share success stories and strategies, while each summer, SNL Account Executives and Product Managers convene to discuss how to best meet our clients’ needs.
Mentoring Programs All SNL offices have formal mentoring programs that promote cross-functional, two-way learning exchanges so less-experienced SNLers can enhance their career and professional development by learning from those who have "been there, done that."
A Lifetime of Learning
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Reimbursement SNL places a high value on understanding our clients’ business and will cover the cost for any employee interested in taking the CFA exam.
Tuition Reimbursement SNL also provides tuition reimbursement for employees to participate in life-long learning that is applicable to their job, subject to certain eligibility criteria.
SNL Center for Financial Education (CFE) Conferences Our affiliate, the SNL Center for Financial Education, is the leading provider of sector-specific conferences and seminars for professionals focusing on financial services, energy, real estate and media & communications. Each year, SNLers have the opportunity to attend seminars relevant to their work, including the annual Analyst Training conference, where they are exposed to experienced industry professionals, respected advisers and leading academics who offer multiple perspectives on evaluating banks, thrifts and insurance companies.
