James returned to SNL in his current capacity in early 2007. James holds a degree in economics from the University of Virginia and is a chartered financial analyst. |

Galen leads all information technology initiatives at SNL, including software development for internal systems and products, networking and hardware infrastructure. He started his career at SNL in 1994 as a senior news editor before moving into IT, first as a systems analyst and then as the head of IT research and development.
