We are Southeastern Bank Financial Corporation, a provider of high quality financial products and personalized service. The wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company are Georgia Bank & Trust Company of Augusta (GB&T) and Southern Bank & Trust (SB&T).
Founded in 1989, the Company is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2009. The corporate headquarters is located at 3530 Wheeler Road, Augusta, Georgia 30909 and its securities are listed on the OTC exchange under stock symbol SBFC.
GB&T, a Georgia state chartered bank, operates nine full service branches in Augusta, Martinez and Evans, Georgia, and one branch in Athens, Georgia, with mortgage origination offices located in Augusta, Savannah and Athens, Georgia. GB&T is the largest locally owned and operated bank in Richmond and Columbia counties.
SB&T, a federally chartered thrift institution, operates three full service branches in Aiken and North Augusta, South Carolina. SB&T provides deposit, real estate, lending and other services to individuals, businesses and professionals in the Aiken County area.
At December 31, 2009, total assets for the company were $1.5 billion, an increase of 5.7 percent, and total deposits were $1.28 billion, an increase of 12.4 percent from the same period a year ago.
