Theodore Dimon, the father of JPMorgan Chase & Co. CEO Jamie Dimon, has said farewell to Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. to join his son's company, Bloomberg News reported Nov. 6, citing a source familiar with the matter.

The elder Dimon and his five-member broker team will join Bear Stearns Private Client Services in a move confirmed by JPMorgan spokesman Darin Oduyoye, the news service said.

Merrill Lynch is a unit of Bank of America Corp.
