TransCanada Corp. was the only power company in SNL Energy's coverage universe to report quarterly earnings as of press time Wednesday, Nov. 4, while Integrys Energy Group Inc. was expected to report after market hours. * TransCanada reported third-quarter 2009 net income of C$345 million, or 50 Canadian cents per share, compared with third-quarter 2008 net income of C$390 million, or 67 Canadian cents per share. The company reported comparable earnings of C$335 million, or 49 Canadian cents per share, down from comparable earnings of C$366 million, or 63 Canadian cents per share, in the third quarter of 2008. * Integrys had not reported third-quarter earnings as of press time. * Quarterly power earnings reports will remain relatively light Thursday, Nov. 5, with reports expected from Dynegy Inc. and RRI Energy Inc. |
