Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. on Nov. 4 said it expects fourth-quarter 2009 station net broadcast revenues from continuing operations, before barter, to be approximately $143.3 million to $146.3 million, down 11.0% to 12.8% compared to the year-ago period. The company expects barter revenue and barter expense each to be approximately $14.5 million in the fourth quarter. Continuing operations station production expenses and station selling, general and administrative expenses, before barter expense, are expected to be approximately $66.6 million, a 10.5% decrease from the year-ago expenses of $74.4 million. For the full year, the company is estimating net broadcast revenues of $544.1 million to $547.1 million, down 14.4% to 14.9% from 2008 net broadcast revenues of $639.2 million. On a full-year basis, television expenses are expected to be approximately $264.2 million, down 10.5% compared to 2008 television expenses of $295.1 million. |
