CVPS names 2 board members

Central Vermont Public Service Corp. on Nov. 2 said its board of directors named John Goodrich and Elisabeth Robert to the company's board, effective Nov. 3. Goodrich was appointed to fill an existing director's term that expires in 2010. Robert will serve as advisory director in anticipation of her nomination and election to serve as director at the May 4, 2010, annual meeting of stockholders in a class whose term will expire 2011, the company said. Goodrich is vice president of power - Americas at Weidmann Electrical Technology Inc. Robert is CEO of Terry Precision Cycling. In addition, CVPS's said its board is also restructuring the board committee assignments to align with the current needs of the company. The board reassigned Janice Scites and William Sayre to the compensation committee from the audit committee to fill two vacant positions in the compensation committee, effective Nov. 3. Goodrich and Robert will join the audit committee, although Robert will not be a voting member until her election to the board in May 2010, CVPS said. |
