Robert K. Chapman, age 69; Chief Executive Officer of United Bancorp, Inc. and United Bank & Trust (“UBT”). Prior to the merger of UBT and United Bank & Trust – Washtenaw (“UBTW”) in 2010, he also served as CEO and Director of UBTW. With United since 2000. He is also a CPA, and brings over thirty years of experience in the financial industry to the Board. More than twenty of those years were in a financial role, and five years were spent in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Chapman has a strong background in risk management.
Randal J. Rabe Executive VP & CFO
Randal J. Rabe, age 54; Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Bancorp, Inc. and United Bank & Trust; With United since 2004, and over 30 years in finance and accounting in banking and other industries.
Michael H. Chatas President, Structured Finance Group
Michael H. Chatas, age 47; Executive Vice President of United Bancorp, Inc. and President of Structured Finance. With United since 2007 Over 20 years of experience in specialty-financing and credit, including a total of six years with KeyBank and Bank One.
Todd C. Clark President
Todd C. Clark, age 43; President of United Bank & Trust. Prior to the merger of United Bank & Trust and United Bank & Trust – Washtenaw, he served as President and CEO of UBTW. With United since 2000. United. Twelve years of previous experience with National City Bank, Bank One and NBD.
Gary D. Haapala President, Wealth Management Group
Gary D. Haapala, age 49; Executive Vice President of United Bancorp, Inc. and President of Wealth Management Group of United Bank & Trust. With United since 2006. 21 years of experience with Fifth Third Bank and Comerica Bank.
David H. Kersch President, Mortgage Group
David H. Kersch, age 45; Executive Vice President of United Bancorp, Inc. and President of Mortgage Lending. With United since 2007. 14 years with National City Corp. and Bank One.
Raymond J. Webb Washtenaw and Livingston Community President

Joseph R. Williams Lenawee and Monroe Community President
Joseph R. Williams, age 48; Executive Vice President of United Bancorp, Inc. and Lenawee and Monroe Community President of United Bank & Trust; Prior to the merger of United Bank & Trust and United Bank & Trust – Washtenaw , he served as President and Director of United Bank & Trust. With United since 2003. Mr. Williams has spent his entire career working with various community banks.

Karen F. Andrews Managing Director of The Andrews Group
Karen F. Andrews is an award-winning executive with expertise in human resources. She is managing director of The Andrews Group which specializes in executive coaching and training, human resource strategy, strategic planning, employee rewards/benefits strategies and solutions, change management and organizational design strategy, and executive team building and facilitation. Additionally, she is an instructor in professional human resource management at Eastern Michigan University. Ms. Andrews has held related positions at McKinley, Inc., Henry Ford Health Systems and Henry Ford Mercy Health Network.
Stephanie H. Boyse President & Chief Executive Officer, Brazeway, Inc.
Stephanie H. Boyse has served as a Director of United Bancorp, Inc. since 2008. Business Experience: President (since 2001) and Chief Executive Officer (since 2006), Brazeway, Inc., manufacturer of extruded aluminum tubing and related products, Adrian, MI; Director of United Bank & Trust. Ms. Boyse brings a diverse range of experiences to the Board, including sales, marketing, operations, human resources, licensing and acquisitions as well as international experience.
James D. Buhr Vice Chairman of the Board President, J.D. Buhr & Company, LLC
James D. Buhr, Owner, J.D. Buhr & Company, LLC, Corporate Finance Advisors, Ann Arbor, MI. Mr. Buhr has an extensive financial background, including experience as a bank Credit Analyst, Commercial Lender and investment banker. He is a registered Stock Broker, and holds an MBA from the University of Michigan. Mr. Buhr currently owns his own corporate finance advisory practice, which provides corporate finance advisory services to Michigan and Midwestern based companies.

Kenneth W. Crawford Retired Vice President, CFO, Corporate Controller and Assistant Secretary of Kaydon Corporation
Mr. Crawford is a licensed CPA and has held accounting and finance positions at Michigan
Consolidated Gas Company, Bundy Corporation, TriMas Corporation, MascoTech, Inc. and
Kaydon Corporation (“Kaydon”). He retired in 2009 from the position of senior vice president,
chief financial officer, corporate controller and assistant secretary of Kaydon, and currently
provides financial consulting services to Kaydon and other companies.
John H. Foss Retired Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, Tecumseh Products Co.
John H. Foss has served as Director of United Bancorp, Inc. since 1992. Business Experience: Director, La-Z-Boy Incorporated; Retired Director, Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, Tecumseh Products Company, manufacturer of compressors and refrigeration components, engines, and power train components, Tecumseh, MI; Director of United Bank & Trust. Mr. Foss is a CPA, and his work experience includes financial management and auditing. He has served as CFO of two publicly traded companies.
Norman G. Herbert Financial Consultant
Norman G. Herbert Independent Financial Consultant to Michigan Information Technology Center Foundation, Ann Arbor (since 2002) and Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education (2006 – 2009). Mr. Herbert has an extensive financial background. For thirty-five years, he was a part of the financial management team for the University of Michigan. He has long been active with a number of professional, civic and non-profit organizations.

James C. Lawson has served as a Director of United Bancorp, Inc. since 1986. Business Experience: General Manager, Avery Oil & Propane, Tecumseh, MI; Director of United Bank & Trust ("UBT"). Mr. Lawson is an entrepreneur in Lenawee County, serving as Owner or Partner in a number of local businesses. These experiences have provided a diverse background into the formation and operation of a successful business.
Len M. Middleton Adjunct Professor, Stephen M. Ross School of Business, The University of Michigan
Len M. Middleton is on staff at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan as an Adjunct Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship. He teaches classes in entrepreneurship, strategy consulting, family business, and several international project-based courses. He has consulted with startup companies, Fortune 500 corporations, and world-class non-profit organizations in the North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Mr. Middleton has a broad experience base serving on a myriad of professional and charitable Boards, including the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and Women for Women International. His education includes a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA.
