Ciaran McMullan
President / CEO

Ciaran is a native of Northern Ireland, who grew up in the rural and agricultural north east of the country. He held senior roles in the banking sector in both Europe and Australia, before moving to the US, where he has served as Chairman of the Great Western Bancorporation and Chief Executive Officer of National Australia Bank Americas in the Midwest, and has been a Managing Director with Cappello Capital Corporation in California. His expertise is in agriculture and supporting the growth of small business. He is a graduate of both Stirling University and Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, and has attended the Harvard Business School's Executive Education Program in Agribusiness.

Jean Carandang
Chief Financial Officer
Jean started her career as a certified public accountant and auditor with KPMG LLP in Los Angeles, Ms. Carandang then spent the next twelve years in various finance and risk roles at Quaker City Bank in Whittier, CA before joining PFF Bank and Trust, Rancho Cucamonga, CA in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Financial Controller. In 2008, she joined NASDAQ listed Simplicity Bank in Covina, CA, serving as Chief Financial Officer until its merger with HomeStreet Bank in 2015. Ms. Carandang holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles.
Steve Jones
Chief Operating Officer

Steve was born and raised in Fresno, California. He obtained the designation of Certified Public Accountant while working for a large regional Accounting Firm in Portland, Oregon. Steve began a career in financial services as an auditor working for PacifiCorp Financial Services. He then moved into Bank Acquisitions and Financial Reporting with First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo Bank in both Portland, Oregon and Phoenix, Arizona. Afterward, Steve joined Bank One, working in Phoenix, Denver and Columbus, Ohio. Immediately prior to moving home to Fresno, Steve held the position of President of The Grange Bank where he had also held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Before becoming Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Suncrest Bank in Visalia, Steve was most recently President and CEO of Security First Bank in Fresno, a bank in which he helped organize in 2005, and open in 2007 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Steve attended Malaspina University in British Columbia where he obtained his Associate of Commerce Degree, and The University of Portland, Oregon where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration.

Peter Nutz
Chief Credit Officer

Peter grew up in Southwestern Germany near Stuttgart and moved to Minneapolis, MN to attend graduate school. Prior to joining Suncrest, he held senior risk positions with Rabobank in the US and Europe, most recently as Risk Executive for Retail and Small Business in Poland. Previously, he served as Executive Director for Special Assets and as Senior Ag Credit Officer for Rabobank's Rural & Retail Division while located in Fresno, California. Earlier in his career he worked for the Farm Credit System in St. Paul, MN and was also Director of Finance for the Offutt Companies, a vertically integrated agribusiness headquartered in Fargo, ND. He holds Masters degrees in Economics, Mathematics and Combinatorics from the University of Minnesota and from the Universität Ulm, Germany.

William A. Benneyan
Chairman

Bill was born and educated in Fresno, CA, and is a graduate of California State University, Fresno. He has lived in the Visalia, Lindsay and Fresno areas nearly his entire life. Bill is a former Certified Public Accountant and owned a CPA practice in Lindsay and Visalia. However, for the past 25 years, Bill has specialized in custom home construction. Bill is the former Vice Chairman of Mineral King National Bank, a highly successful community bank in Visalia that sold to Vallicorp in 1994.

Marc R. Schuil
Vice Chairman

Marc grew up in Reedley and has spent his career working in local communities. Marc is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is an owner of Schuil and Associates, a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in agricultural real estate in the Central Valley. Marc also has extensive knowledge and experience in the dairy business. He has also been active in civic organizations, having served on several county boards.

David C. Crinklaw

Dave is a resident of Reedley, with business interests throughout the Central Valley. Dave was a production home builder but sold his home construction business in 2000 and now specializes in commercial construction. Dave also farms varietal grapes in Fresno and Tulare counties and manages a farm services company serving the Central Valley.

John A. DiMichele

Most currently served as Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of the Board for Community Business Bank from 2005 to 2018. Former President and Chief Executive Officer of Yolo Community Bank from 1998 to 2005. Former President and Chief Executive Officer of Surety Bank from 1994 to 1997. Former President and Chief Executive Officer of Suisun Valley Bank from 1983 to 1994. DiMichele has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Chico and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He also completed the Pacific School of Banking, Seattle. DiMichele is a board member of California Statewide CDC, the Health Education Council, Northern California Officers Association PVE and a member of the adversity board at CSU Chico School of Business.

Daniel C. Jacuzzi
A lifelong resident of the Yuba-Sutter area, Dan is a real estate broker and owner of Century 21 Select Real Estate, Select School of Real Estate, Stanford Mortgage, Select Property Management and Coldwell Banker Select of Nevada. His companies employ nearly 1,000 people throughout Northern California, Lake Tahoe and Northern Nevada. Dan was named Realtor Broker of the Year in 1995 and 1999, and his brokerage firm has been recognized by Realtor Magazine as one of the "Top 100 Largest Real Estate Firms" in the nation. He is an active member of the Association of Realtors in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Butte, Yuba and Sutter counties.
Dale B. Margosian

Born in Dinuba, Dale is a longtime resident of Porterville and is a graduate of California State University, Fresno. He has managed a thriving CPA practice in Porterville for over 27 years and participates in many civic organizations.

Chadwick B. Meyer

Chad was raised and educated in the Lodi and Stockton California area and has lived in the San Joaquin Valley area almost all his life. He is the former President of Community Business Bank, former Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Yolo Community Bank and former Chief Lending Officer of Delta National Bank. He graduated from Lodi High and University of the Pacific and over the years has been involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations.

Florencio Paredez

Frank grew up in the area, graduating from Orosi High School and College of the Sequoias. Frank farms in the Exeter area, owns a packing house there and also owns the Hungry Hollow Borrow Pit in Porterville. He is active in local and San Francisco based farmers' markets. Through the years, Frank has participated in many county boards.

Matthew B. Pomeroy
Born and raised in Yuba City, Matt has been a self-employed contractor with Pomeroy Construction for 20 years, building custom homes in the Yuba County foothills. Matt and his brother, Jarrod, took over their family farming operation in 2011, growing peaches, prunes and walnuts. Matt was a founding board member of Sutter Community Bank. He built his own home in the foothills and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
Eric M. Shannon

The Shannon family has been farming the area for over 100 years. Eric attended school locally and graduated from the University of California, Davis. He is active in farming as well as real estate-related interests in the Visalia area. Eric is actively involved in Visalia Rotary having served as its President, as well as other civic organizations.

Michael E. Thurlow

Mike has lived in the Reedley/Kingsburg area his entire life, attending Reedley High School and Reedley College, and graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Mike is an owner and manager of a produce company that stores, packs and ships fruit raised in Tulare, Kings and Fresno counties. Mike participates in and sponsors several school and civic groups.

Darrell E. Tunnell

Darrell was born in Terra Bella and raised in Porterville. He attended College of the Sequoias and moved to Visalia, where he began working in the aircraft repair and maintenance business. Darrell currently owns Aircraft Mechanical Services, Inc., the Visalia Airport fixed base operator (FBO). Darrell is active in many sports and is an active contributor to school and civic organizations.

Eric J. Wilkins

Eric was formerly the Vice Chairman of Security First Bank, and was born and raised in Fresno. He received an Associates of Arts degree from Santa Barbara City College and his Bachelor of Political Science degree from University of California, Santa Barbara. Eric, along with his family, owns and operates Wilkins Enterprises. The company specializes in the development, construction and management of office and industrial buildings in the Central Valley. Eric holds a license as a real estate broker from the State of California and an "A" class general engineering contractor's license also issued by the State. He sat as chair of the Oakhurst Citizens Advisory Committee and has been a member of the public relations committee for Madera County Maintenance District 22, and is a member of the Eastern Madera County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors.
