Gary W. Winger
Chairman
Gary W. Winger has been a principal of Compass Consulting, Inc. in Auburn and Jamestown, New York and Venice, Florida, a firm that provides consulting services in the area of higher education, since July, 2002. From 1975 until June 2002, Mr. Winger was the Dean of Administration and Development and Chief Financial and Development Officer of Jamestown Community College in Jamestown, New York. Mr. Winger has a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Business Administration from Ohio Northern University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He currently serves on the Asset/Liability and the Loan committees.
Susan C. Ballard
Susan C. Ballard became the Branch Director for Hunt Real Estate ERA in February 2016. Hunt Real Estate ERA is an integrated home ownership services organization, with headquarters in Depew, NY. She was previously the Chief Operating Officer of National Fire Adjustment Co., Inc., an insurance adjustment firm. Ms. Ballard currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Niagara Builders Association in Buffalo, New York, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Town of Clarence, Erie County, Industrial Development Agency and is a member of numerous business and community organizations. Ms. Ballard has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. She is currently a member of the Compensation, Loan and Nominating and Governance Committees.
Tracy S. Bennett
Mr. Bennett was the Vice President for Administration at the State University of New York at Fredonia (SUNY Fredonia), a position he held from 1997 until his retirement in November 2010. Mr. Bennett was also the President of the SUNY Fredonia Faculty-Student Association and he served on a number of campus committees. He owns a tax preparation business in Westfield, New York serving over 900 clients and is a certified public accountant in New York State. Mr. Bennett has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting from SUNY Albany. He is currently a member of the Audit/Risk Committee and the Asset/Liability Committee.
Sharon E. Brautigam
Sharon E. Brautigam was a partner in the law firm of Brautigam & Brautigam, LLP in Fredonia, New York from 1986 until 2016, where she concentrated her practice in the areas of real estate transactions, estates and trusts, elder law and small business formation and general advice. She is currently of counsel to Brautigam & Brautigam, LLP. She has a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Houghton College and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. She is currently the Chairperson of the Nominating and Governance Committee and is a member of the Compensation Committee.
David C. Mancuso
David C. Mancuso has been associated with Lake Shore Savings since 1965. He was appointed as President/CEO on October 1, 1993 and retired on January 28, 2011. He played a key role in the direction, development, and growth of Lake Shore Bancorp, Inc. Mr. Mancuso has a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Bryant and Stratton Business College. He is currently the Chairman of the Asset/Liability Committee and a member of the Loan Committee. Mr. Mancuso was a member of the New York State Banking Board from 2001 until 2006.

John L. Mehltretter
Mr. Mehltretter has been the Vice President of Information Technology for Gibraltar Industries, a leading manufacturer and distributer of building products, since January 2017. During 2016, he provided consulting services as a principal to Nextgen Technology Advisors LLC, a consulting firm established in Hamburg, New York. Mr. Mehltretter was formerly the Global Vice President of Information Technology for New Era Cap Company, an international headwear and apparel company headquartered in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Mehltretter earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from The State University of New York College at Buffalo, and his Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the University at Buffalo. Active in the community, Mr. Mehltretter serves as a Board Member for the Skating Association for the Blind and Handicapped (SABAH). He is currently a member of the Audit/Risk committee.
Daniel P. Reininga
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Reininga became President and Chief Executive Officer of Lake Shore Bancorp and Lake Shore Savings on January 28, 2011. He was previously appointed the Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of the Company on January 1, 2010. He served as Vice Chairman of the board from 2003 until June 2010. Mr. Reininga holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Allegheny College and a Masters of Business Administration degree from University of South Florida. He has completed the American Bankers Association (ABA) course in Advanced Asset and Liability Management, and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier National Graduate School of Banking. Mr. Reininga has a sound knowledge of bank risks, internal controls and bank operations. He has served as Chairman of a family-owned real estate investment company for over fifteen years. He is also involved in numerous community and non-profit organizations, either as a board member or committee member. Mr. Reininga is currently a member of the Asset/Liability committee, Loan committee and the Board of Directors.

Kevin M. Sanvidge
Vice Chairman
Mr. Sanvidge is retired from his position as Chief Executive Officer and Administrative Director of the Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency ('IDA'), a position he held from June 2014 until December 2017. He was previously the Executive Vice President of Administration and Supply Chain at Cliffstar Corporation, a private label juice and beverage manufacturer, a position he held from 2006 until 2012. Mr. Sanvidge has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Concordia University, and has completed the Executive Management Seminar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has served as an officer or member of several community and business organizations in Chautauqua County over the last 20 years. Mr. Sanvidge is the Chairman of the Compensation Committee, and a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee.
Nancy L. Yocum
Nancy L. Yocum is currently retired. She was formerly a practicing certified public accountant. From 1999 until November 2012, she was a partner in the firm of Brumfield & Associates in Fredonia, New York where her practice was concentrated in estates and trusts. Ms. Yocum has an Associates degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Bryant and Stratton and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Ms. Yocum has served as an officer or a member of numerous community organizations. She is the Chairperson and the 'financial expert' for the Audit/Risk committee. She has previously served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and as a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance committee.

Daniel P. Reininga
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Reininga became President and Chief Executive Officer of Lake Shore Bancorp and Lake Shore Savings on January 28, 2011. Jeffrey M. Werdein
Executive Vice President, Commercial Division
Mr. Werdein joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in August 2014 as Executive Vice President of the Commercial Division. His responsibilities include loan portfolio growth, risk management, and contribution to profit while providing direction and oversight of all commercial loan production. Mr. Werdein spent 15 years at Evans Bank as a commercial lender and team leader in the commercial real estate and small/middle market business segment. He was most recently Senior Vice President and Team Leader Commercial Division at Evans Bank. Prior to Evans Bank Mr. Werdein was a commercial lender with Citibank and Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Werdein holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from State University of New York at Buffalo. He is also involved in numerous community and nonprofit organizations either as a board member, committee member or participant in fund raising activities.

The Executive Vice President, Commercial Division is responsible for the cultivation, acquisition, credit analysis and presentation of loans to upper management and Board of Directors. Is also responsible for determining pricing, portfolio management and the leadership of the Commercial Lending Division.
Rachel A. Foley
Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer
Ms. Foley has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Allegheny College and a Masters of Business Administration (Accounting concentration) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Rachel joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in March 1999. Her prior work experience includes the following: Staff Auditor/Assistant Audit Supervisor/Financial Audit Supervisor for M&T Bank; and Controller for Lake Shore Savings Bank. Rachel has passed the NYS Certified Public Accountants exam. Ms. Foley is a graduate of the Financial Managers School from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania.

The CFO is responsible for the oversight of the financial functions of the institution. Supervises activities of the accounting department. Is responsible for developing, forecasting and implementing financial plans and policies of the bank.
Steven Schiavone
Controller and Principal Accounting Officer
Mr. Schiavone became the Controller of Lake Shore Bancorp and Lake Shore Savings Bank in April 2008. His previous work experience includes: Assistant Vice President and Senior Specialist in the Global Transactions Services Controllers group at Citigroup, Financial Analysis Manager and Officer for Greater Buffalo Savings Bank, and as a Tax Analyst in the Corporate Tax area and as a Financial Analyst in the Corporate Reporting area with M&T Bank. Steven has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics from Canisius College and has passed the NYS CPA exam. Steven currently serves as a director and the Treasurer for the Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels not-for-profit agency.

The Controller is responsible for the supervision of the work of the accounting department, preparation of financial statements and reports; preparation of the periodic audit schedules and is responsible for supervision of budgets and asset-liability management. Ensures that the Bank’s accounting procedures are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.


Beverly J. Sutton
Vice President of Retail Banking Operations
Beverly was appointed to the position of Vice President of Retail Banking Operations in June 2015. Beverly is a 1991 graduate of the State University of New York College at Fredonia with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Beverly joined the Lake Shore Savings staff in 1993. She has held various positions including Assistant Auditor and Internal Auditor. In addition to the Audit Department, Beverly also worked as a teller, in the Accounting Department and was Security Officer for two years.

Responsible for overall Branch, Call Center, Retail Lending and Deposit Operations, and Collections.
Nicole May
Compliance & CRA Officer
Nicole is a 1996 graduate of Fredonia State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree. Nicole joined Lake Shore Savings in 1996 as an Accounting Clerk and shortly thereafter, was appointed the Security Officer. In the fall of 1997, she began working in the Internal Audit Department as the Assistant Internal Auditor. She was appointed the Compliance Officer in 2002.

As CRA Officer, Nicole ensures that the bank is actively supporting our low- and moderate income individuals and families, through deposit products, small business loans and home mortgages. In addition, she tracks the community donations and volunteerism of all Lake Shore Savings Bank’s locations.

The Compliance Department’s mission is to assist the Bank in achieving its Risk Management, Financial, Operational, and Strategic goals while maintaining compliance with current and emerging laws and regulations.
Janinne Fiegl Dugan
Vice President, Human Resource Officer
Mrs. Dugan joined Lake Shore Savings Bank as a teller in 1993 and later that year was appointed to the position of Management Trainee. In 1994 Mrs. Dugan was promoted to the position of Human Resources Benefits Officer, and in 2013 was appointed Vice President of Human Resources. She is a graduate of Southern Virginia College, American Institute of Banking Accelerated Banking program, Human Resources Professional Studies Certificate from Cornell University. Janinne holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Economics with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Empire State College, and is a graduate of the Human Resource Management School, through the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin- Madison.

The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for the development and implementation of benefits, recruitment, compensation, employee relations, staff training and development. She also serves as a liaison between employees and management.
Sonia N. Ortolano
Vice President, Information Technology
Ms. Ortolano joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in 1998 as a part time teller; in 2001 she joined the MIS Department as an Assistant and was later appointed to the role of MIS Manager in 2004. She achieved an Associate Degree in Applied Science - Computer Information Systems from Jamestown Community College. In 2012, Ms. Ortolano graduated from The Technology Graduate School of Banking and most recently earned her certification as a Community Banking Information Technology Officer. Ms. Ortolano was appointed Vice President of Information Technology.

The Information Technology Officer is responsible for technological advancement across the organization, network administration, implementation of new branch locations, roll out of new products and services, purchasing technology equipment, supporting employees, and is the liaison to our core processor vendor, Fiserv.
Brenda Mikolajczak
Assistant Vice President, Marketing and Sales
Ms. Mikolajczak joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in March 2016 as Marketing and Sales Director. She brings with her nearly a decade of experience in marketing and sales, most recently at Evans Bank, where she held the positions of Marketing Coordinator, Corporate Communications Manager, Business Development, and Retail Sales Leader. Ms. Mikolajczak holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations, from Canisius College. Ms. Mikolajczak serves on the board of directors for Autism Services, Inc., is actively involved with the United Way, and received the 2015 Community Bank Hero Award from American Banker Magazine for her dedication to community involvement.

The Marketing and Sales Director is responsible for the development and management of marketing and sales initiatives, as tied to strategic plan goals. Responsible for brand development, positioning Lake Shore Savings Bank as a bank of choice throughout WNY, aligning internal and external messaging and initiatives to overall brand strategy. Leads the front-line sales team by proactively enculturating the sales mentality and setting the pace for the entire organization.
Mark J. Peters
Chief Internal Auditor and Enterprise Risk Manager
Mr. Peters attended St. Bonaventure University as an Accounting major and graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with focused studies in Economics, Finance and Management. His prior work experience includes roles ranging from Cost Accountant to Corporate Controller in the private sector and banking experience as follows: Sr. Accountant-Business Unit Reporting and Sr. Accountant-Foreign Exchange at Citi and most recently worked for First Niagara Financial Group/KeyBank in roles ranging from AVP-Accounting Operations Manager, VP-Operations Finance Manager and VP-Line of Business Controller. Mr. Peters is an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in Erie County, Hamburg Wesleyan Church and the American Liver Foundation.

The Chief Internal Auditor acts as a source of independent appraisal of the association’s activities. The position functions by examining and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls to support adherence to banking regulations and assumes responsibility for ensuring optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the audit department.

Officers - Commercial Lending Officers and Other Officers

Barbara M. Fancher
Assistant Vice President
Barbara Fancher has 30 years of commercial loan review and analysis experience. She worked for M&T Bank for three years as Manager/Vice President of the Loan Review Department with responsibility for evaluation of asset quality of a $5.5 billion commercial portfolio. This followed eight years as Manager with similar responsibilities in the Loan Analysis area. Ms. Fancher joined Lake Shore Savings in 1998. She established formal commercial lending policies and procedures, and continues to be responsible for commercial loan underwriting and review. Ms. Fancher has a B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Fredonia.

Evaluates asset quality on both a loan-by-loan and portfolio wide basis. Monitors compliance with commercial credit policies and identifies portfolio concentrations. Acts as liaison for internal and external auditors and bank examiners.
Wendy Harrington

Beverley J. Mulkin
Vice President
Mrs. Mulkin has been employed by Lake Shore Savings since 1961. With over 50 years of banking experience, Beverly possesses excellent customer service skills and perception. Also serving in the loan department, Bev is responsible for closing mortgage loans at the Fredonia branch office.

Responsible for mortgage closings in Fredonia office along with assisting with customer service.
Dylan P. Rubadeaux
Assistant Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer
Mr. Rubadeaux joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in March 2016 as a Commercial Loan Officer and Assistant Vice President. Mr. Rubadeaux has over 10 years of commercial lending and credit experience, most recently at Evans Bank, where he served as an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. Previously, he served as a Credit Officer at Evans Bank and a Small Business Underwriter at First Niagara Bank. Mr. Rubadeaux holds a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Active in the community, he volunteers with the Buffalo City Mission and Habitat for Humanity.
Jared Sedor
Assistant Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer
Mr. Sedor joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in August 2018 as a Commercial Loan Officer and Assistant Vice President. Mr. Sedor has over 12 years of commercial banking and credit experience, most recently at Evans Bank N.A, where he served as an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager. His prior experience includes Sr. Credit Analysts at Evans Bank N.A., Portfolio Underwriter at First Niagara Bank N.A. in both the commercial real estate and small business groups and an Institutional Clients Credit Risk Analyst at Citigroup. Mr. Sedor holds a MBA in finance from Canisius College of Buffalo NY and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is actively involved in the community, volunteering with organizations such as The American Red Cross, The United Way, Ronald McDonald house and Habitat for Humanity.

Mike Noville
Assistant Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer
Mr. Noville joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in April 2019 as a Commercial Loan Officer and Assistant Vice President. Mr. Noville has over 30 years of commercial lending experience, most recently at Blue Bridge Financial, where he served as a Senior Vice President and Sales Manager. Previously, he served as Vice President and Loan Officer at Evans Bank, and a Vice President at Fifth Third Bank. Noville holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Adam J. Dimitri
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Adam joined the Lake Shore team in April of 2006. He has been a Head Teller, Customer Service Representative and Assistant Manager for Lake Shore prior to his current position as Branch Manager. He is a graduate from Jamestown Community College with a degree in Business Administration. Adam has attended various courses and seminars in banking and management from the Center for Financial Training. He is an active member in the Westfield-Mayville Rotary, The Nathan George Foundation, and a 2010 graduate of the Chautauqua Leadership Network. He is also a member of Lake Shore’s Junior Management Team.

Adam’s primary responsibility is to oversee the Westfield office in terms of deposit, residential mortgages and commercial lending.
Magdalena Dye
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Magdalena Dye joined LSSB in February of 2000 as a part time teller. She later progressed through the roles of Head Customer Service Specialist, Personal Banker, Assistant Branch manager and in 2010 was promoted to the position of Branch Manager of the Dunkirk Office. Margie is a graduate of Dunkirk High School, a 2012 graduate of Lake Shore Savings Bank’s Junior Management Team and a 2014 graduate of the Chautauqua Leadership Program. Margie serves on the board for the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County where she serves as Vice President. In addition she serves on the advisory board at the SUNY Incubator and is a Board Member of Chautauqua Opportunities for Development (CODI) and is a voting member for the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation.

Margie’s primary responsibility is to oversee the Dunkirk Office in terms of deposits, residential mortgages and commercial lending.
Richard E. Greco Jr.
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Richard joined Lake Shore Savings in October, 2017. He has 30 years banking experience. Richard came to us from Key Bank where he was employed for 8 years. Richard held various positions from Branch Manager to Executive Client Relations reporting directly to the President of the bank. Richard is a life-long resident of Snyder. He coaches tennis at Amherst High School and is a patrolman with the Amherst Police Auxiliary.
Amy Harding
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Amy joined the Lake Shore team in September 1997. She has been head teller, Customer Service Representative, Mortgage Specialist, Assistant Manager, and Branch Manager for Lake Shore prior to her current position as Regional Branch Sales Manager. Amy is a graduate of Frewsburg Central School. She continued her education at Jamestown Community College for 2 years in the Associates program for Business Administration. Amy has served on the Allocation Committee at the United Way for the past 8 years. Amy serves as a board member for the Chautauqua Children's Safety Education Village. Amy volunteers at a number of community events throughout the year. She is dedicated to serving the community where she works and lives.

Amy's primary responsibility is to oversee the West Ellicott office in terms of deposits, residential mortgages & consumer originations, and commercial lending.
John P. Huber
Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
John joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in January of 2003. He was the first person hired for our bank's expansion into Erie County. He has 32 years of banking experience. John was formerly employed at Charter One Bank for 11 years where he was the Branch Manager for the Depew Office and the Cheektowaga Office, he also held a Branch Manager position at Rochester Community Savings Bank. John is a graduate of Canisius College of Buffalo, NY where he earned a B.A. in Communications. John is a Past President of the Amherst East Rotary Club, and he is the Past President and current Treasurer at the Lancaster-Depew Rotary Club. John is also the co-chair of the Catholic Charities Campaign at Queen of Heaven Church, and also serves as a Lector at his church. John also serves on the Board of Directors for the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce where he is an active member. He is also a member of our bank's 'residential loan committee' team.

Responsible to oversee the Depew Office in terms of growth in deposits, mortgage and consumer loan originations, and commercial lending.
Gabriele J. Maddalena
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Gabriele Maddalena joined Lake Shore Savings in January 2010. He has over 12 years of banking experience and was formerly employed by Citizens Bank, where he was an assistant vice president and branch manager of various offices. Gabe oversaw branches both in traditional and supermarket settings with deposit bases as high as $110 million. During his last four years with that institution, he managed their East Aurora location. Gabe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Specialization in Management from Mercy College (Long Island University) in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. He has also earned an Accelerated Banking Certificate from the American Institute of Banking. Currently Gabe is an active member with the East Amherst Rotary and The Clarence Chamber of Commerce. He is also involved with the Town of Clarence and is dedicated to serving the community where he both works and lives.
Sally A. Pyne
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Sally joined Lake Shore Savings in February 2003. She has 40 years of banking experience. Sally came to us from Charter One Bank where she was employed for six years as the Branch Manager of the East Aurora Office. She has also held Branch Manager positions at Key Bank and Buffalo Savings Bank / Goldome. She is a life long resident of Orchard Park. Sally is a member of the Board of Directors for the Buffalo/Niagara YMCA, Past President and active member of the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce, past board member of the Buffalo Philharmonic Women's Committee and Past President of the New York State Financial Women International.

Sally’s primary responsibility is to oversee the Orchard Park office in terms of deposits, residential mortgages and commercial lending.
Scott T. Swan
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Scott Swan joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in October 2017. Scott brings prior banking experiences from Key Corporation and HSBC, where he served as a Vice President and worked in various roles on both global and domestic initiatives. In addition to his prior experiences Scott has held and carried various financial licenses. Scott is also a U.S. Army Veteran where he has served two tours of duty with the 101st Airborne Division located in Fort Campbell, KY. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Economics from Canisius College. He also returned to Canisius to earn his M.B.A. with a concentration in International Business. Scott is a past volunteer firefighter serving the communities he has lived in, which include Clarence Center and Snyder, NY. Currently Scott serves as a board of director for The Ken-Ton Chamber of Commerce along with being a member of the Kenmore Rotary Club.
Hiroko Walters
Assistant Vice President, Regional Branch Sales Manager
Hiroko Walters started her career at Lake Shore Savings Bank in 2000 as a Teller at the Lakewood Branch, later becoming a Customer Service Representative. She transferred to the Jamestown Branch as an Assistant Branch Manager in 2003 and became a Branch Manager in 2005. Hiroko has been a member of Jamestown Rotary Club since 2006. Because of her international back ground, she is passionate about international relationships and is an active member of the Youth Exchange Committee. Hiroko and her family enjoy volunteering at the Chautauqua County Humane Society.

Hiroko’s primary responsibility is to oversee the Jamestown office in terms of deposits, residential mortgages and commercial lending.
