Steven M. Klein
President & CEO
Steven M. Klein joined Northfield Bancorp, Inc. in March 2005 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in March 2011, President in January 2013 and Chief Executive Offer in November 2017. Mr. Klein was an audit partner in the community banking practice of KPMG LLP from September 2003 to March 2005, and was employed by KPMG beginning in 1986. Mr. Klein is a certified public accountant in the State on New Jersey.
Michael J. Widmer
Executive VP, Operations
Michael J. Widmer has served as Executive Vice President, Operations of Northfield Bancorp, Inc, and Northfield Bank since 2002. Mr. Widmer served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and as a Director, of Liberty Bancorp, Inc. and Liberty Bank, located in Avenel, New Jersey, until they were acquired by Northfield Bancorp, Inc. and Northfield Bank, respectively, in 2002.
William R. Jacobs
Executive VP & Chief Financial Officer
William Jacobs joined Northfield in 2006 as Vice President and Controller and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2010. Mr. Jacobs was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2013. Prior to joining Northfield, William was an audit manager with the international accounting and auditing firm KPMG LLP. William is a Certified Public Accountant and is a graduate of Georgian Court University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Mr. Jacobs serves on the Habitat for Humanities Board for the Middlesex County Chapter.
Robin Lefkowitz
Executive VP, Branch Administration & Business Development
Robin Lefkowitz currently serves as Executive Vice President, Director of Branch Administration and Business Development for Northfield Bank. Robin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Brooklyn College and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Wagner College. Robin specializes in customer relationships and growth of overall deposits, she brings her wealth of experience to Northfield Bank’s network of branches throughout Staten Island, New Jersey and Brooklyn.

As a long-time, active community member, Robin’s involvement includes holding the positions of Board Member for each, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, New Ventures Charter/Lavalle Prep School, Eden II Foundation and Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) Foundation. Additionally, Robin is both a Director on the Board of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Woodbridge Township Economic Development Corporation.
Tara L. French
Executive VP, Chief Administrative Officer
Tara L. French currently serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer for Northfield Bank. Tara is responsible for overseeing corporate governance, strategic planning, and risk management.

Ms. French graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Tara started her career as a Bank Examiner at the Federal Home Loan Bank of NY and continued with the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) until it was integrated with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). She served as an Assistant Deputy Comptroller in the New York Field Office where she supervised a portfolio of national banks and federal savings associations.

Tara is commissioned as a National Bank Examiner, Federal Thrift Regulator, Thrift Examiner, and Federal Trust Regulator.
David V. Fasanella
Executive VP, Chief Lending Officer
David V. Fasanella currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. Mr. Fasanella’s responsibilities include developing strategies to expand the Bank’s commercial banking capabilities to complement its current real estate focused lending programs and to collaborate with the business development team to focus on growth of loans and deposits.

John W. Alexander
Chairman
Mr. Alexander joined Northfield Bank in 1997 and served as Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to 2017. He also has served as Chairman of the Board since 1998 and Chairman of Northfield-Federal since 2002. Mr. Alexander is a former tax partner with a national accounting and auditing firm, specializing in bank taxation and asset securitization. Mr. Alexander resides in Staten Island, New York, and is involved in state and national professional organizations including the New York Bankers Association, where he serves as a director, the New Jersey Bankers Association, the American Bankers Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of many community organizations including Staten Island University Hospital, the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation and the Northfield Bank Foundation.
Timothy C. Harrison
Since 1990, Mr. Harrison has been a principal in TCH Realty & Development Co., LLC, and affiliated partnerships, which develop retail and office projects. Mr. Harrison is a licensed attorney in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Karen J. Kessler
Ms. Kessler is a founding partner and President of Evergreen Partners, Inc. and has over 25 years of experience in the public relations industry, specializing in reputation management and communication.

Frank P. Patafio
Since 2009, Mr. Patafio has served as a Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Investments, and portfolio manager at RXR Realty, New York, New York, with interests in approximately $14 billion of assets containing over 24 million square feet. From 1999 until 2009, Mr. Patafio was a partner and Chief Financial Officer of The Praedium Group, New York, New York. In addition, Mr. Patafio is a principal in FJKP, LLC, and affiliated partnerships, which develop residential homes and own rental properties.
Patrick L. Ryan
Mr. Ryan has over 17 years of community banking experience and was the founder and chairman of Hopewell Valley Community Bank of Pennington, New Jersey, until it merged with Northfield Bank in January, 2016.
Annette Catino
Ms. Catino has served since 2002 as President and Chief Executive Officer of QualCare Alliance Networks, Inc., Piscataway, New Jersey, the parent company of QualCare, Qual-Lynx, Health-Lynx and QualCare Insurance Services. QualCare Alliance Networks, Inc. is a privately held company. Ms. Catino also serves as Chief Executive Officer of QualCare, Inc., and served as its President as well from 1991 through September, 2012. Ms. Catino is a resident of New Jersey and is involved in local professional and community organizations including the Boards of Caucus Educational Corporation, the Val Skinner Foundation, Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation and Virtua Foundation. She served on New Jersey Governor Christie’s transition committee on healthcare and was named by NJBIZ as Executive of the Year in 2011 and named as one of the 100 Most Important People in Business in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Gil Chapman
Mr. Chapman has over 25 years of business experience, most recently owning and operating an automobile dealership in Staten Island, New York. Mr. Chapman is a resident of New Jersey, and is involved in local professional and community organizations including the National Association of Corporate Directors and, as a former Staten Island businessman, the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation and the Staten Island Urban League.
John P. Connors Jr.
Lead Director
Mr. Connors is the managing partner of the law firm of Connors & Connors, P.C., located in Staten Island, New York. Mr. Connors is admitted to practice in thestate and federal courts of New York and New Jersey and the District of Columbia. Mr. Connors is a resident of Staten Island, and is involved in local professional and community organizations including the Richmond County Bar Association, Notre Dame Academy and the Northfield Bank Foundation.
Patrick E. Scura Jr.
Mr. Scura was an audit partner with a national accounting and auditing firm for 27 years, until his retirement in 2005. Mr.Scura has over 35 years of experience auditing public company financial institutions in New Jersey. Mr. Scura resides in New Jersey, and is involved in local professional and community organizations including St. Peter’s College and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
