ANNOUNCES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

Topeka, KS - Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. (NASDAQ: CFFN) (the "Company") announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.085 per share on outstanding CFFN common stock.

The dividend is payable on November 15, 2019 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on November 1, 2019.

The Company will release financial results for the quarter and year ended September 30, 2019 on October 30, 2019 before the market opens.

Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. is the holding company for Capitol Federal Savings Bank (the "Bank"). The Bank has 54 branch locations in Kansas and Missouri, and is one of the largest residential lenders in the State of Kansas.
